Sound & Portraits Open Call
Through an open-call, the Waterford Gallery of Art will be seeking proposals from musicians, song writers, sound artists, poets, and those working with sound to create new audio artworks to be performed and sit alongside items featuring in the upcoming ‘Portraits’ exhibition.
Imagine Arts Festival is offering an exciting opportunity for artists or groups of artists, to present a work in progress at Imagine Arts Festival 2022. Artists of all performance disciplines (Dance, Theatre, Circus, Music, Multidisciplinary) are welcome. The chosen artists or company will receive €500 towards developing their idea.

Waterford Poetry Prize 2022
The Arts Office, Waterford City & County Council is pleased to announce that entries are now being accepted for the Waterford Poetry Prize 2022. The Waterford Poetry Prize is open to all writers currently living on the island of Ireland.
The winners will be announced at a special event at the Waterford Writers Weekend on Friday 28th October 2022 during the Imagine Arts Festival.
The first prize is €400 plus attendance at a designated writing course at the Molly Keane Writers Retreat, Ardmore in 2023. The second prize is €300 plus a writing course in Ardmore and third prize is €200.
The closing date for receipt of entries is 12 noon on Friday 12th August 2022. There is no age limit and no entry fee for the Waterford Poetry Prize 2022.
The Arts Office is pleased to have the writer and poet Colm Keegan as judge.

WATERFORD WRITER’S WEEKEND
Lemons, Liars and Banshees: Three literary journals in conversation. Join editors from The Waxed Lemon, The Four Faced Liar and Banshee as they discuss the recent upsurge of literary journals in Ireland. The editors will give advice on how to submit your work and audience members will be invited to participate in a Q&A session at the end.
