Creative Psychotherapy (Art Therapy) is a gentle and effective mental health support for both children and adults who need a supportive, creative and confidential space to process their lived experience. We are delighted to host these arts events and workshops that normalise disability and are accessible for children with complex needs.
Kiara Reddy, Art Therapist will provide Art Therapy Workshops for Parents to learn art therapy techniques to help benefit their child/children. There will be three in-person workshops and one online workshop.
There is priority booking for parents of children and adolescents who are linked to one of the three Childrens’ Disability Network Teams. Places are also available for parents of children and adolescents who are not linked to a Childrens’ Disability Network Team.
Creative psychotherapists are trained to Masters level, are registered, insured and Garda vetted. These workshops are organised by Maria Rockett, Occupational Therapist, Waterford South City Children’s Disability Network Team. Maria Rockett will be present during the workshops in a supportive capacity.
