Two readings of short stories exploring love and loss: “Debt” by Dr. Fiona Ennis, winner of this year’s National Molly Keane Creative Writing Award and an excerpt of Teresa Deevy’s “John Potter’s Story” (1950) introduced and read by Deevy scholar Dr. Una Kealy.

Dr. Fiona Ennis

Dr. Fiona Ennis holds a BA in English and Philosophy and an MA in English Literature and Publishing from NUI Galway. She also has a PhD in Philosophy from University College Cork. She lectures in Literature and Philosophy at Waterford Institute of Technology.

Dr. Una Kealy lectures in English and Theatre Studies in the School of Humanities, WIT. Questions of identity, marginalization, social inclusion and exclusion drive Una’s current research into Irish theatre practice.
