Move Your Limits

(International performance sharing)

As part of an Erasmus+ programme two top European theatre trainers will be running an intensive creative theatre workshop for three days during the Imagine Arts Festival. Happening from Weds. 20th to Friday 22nd this will culminate with a sharing at a venue TBC on Friday 22nd at 7pm October. The tutors are Per Spildra Borg (from Stella Polaris Theatre in Norway) and Daniel Jacewicz (from Theatre Brama in Poland).

This free workshop experience called 'Move your limits' is aimed at performers (Actors, Dancers, Singers, Writers etc.) and bookings are via Waterford Youth Arts (info@waterfordyoutharts.com). Performers must be 17 years+ and no upper age limit, have some theatre experience and be committed for the three-day journey. Limited numbers so book now.
During the training you will experience many theatre ideas like storytelling, acting, singing and voice usage. Emphasis is placed on communicating in the performance. You will work both indoors and outdoors.

Daniel Jacewicz

Daniel founded Theatre Brama in 1996 and it is well known internationally as an independent and multi nationality company based in Goleniów in Poland. Brama's motivation for their artistic and socially engaged cultural activities is to revolutionize the relationship between the artist and audience. This means that the performance is treated as a meeting which creates the possibility for participation and dialogue.

Per Spildra Borg

Per is an Actor and Musician and he founded Stella Polaris theatre company in 1985 with Merete Klingen. He is the company’s Artistic Director and directs most of their performances over the years. They have toured most countries in Europe and the Middle East. Per Looks on his life as a spiritual and creative journey and is looking forward to working in Ireland for the first time.
